Guns N’ Roses paid their respects to Black Sabbath by performing four of the legendary band’s songs during the “Back To The Beginning” charity event on Saturday, July 5, in Birmingham, UK.
Fronted by Axl Rose, the band opened their set with “It’s Alright” from Sabbath’s 1976 album Technical Ecstasy. They continued their tribute with the title track from 1978’s Never Say Die! and followed it up with “Junior’s Eyes” from the same record. Guns N’ Roses closed out their Sabbath covers with a powerful rendition of “Sabbath Bloody Sabbath”.
After honouring Sabbath, the band switched gears and finished their set with two of their own massive hits, “Welcome To The Jungle” and “Paradise City”.
Here’s Guns N’ Roses’ full setlist from the night:
- It’s Alright (Black Sabbath cover)
- Never Say Die (Black Sabbath cover)
- Junior’s Eyes (Black Sabbath cover)
- Sabbath Bloody Sabbath (Black Sabbath cover)
- Welcome To The Jungle
- Paradise City
The “Back To The Beginning” concert was a historic night celebrating Black Sabbath’s legacy, highlighted by Ozzy Osbourne’s final live performance, with over 40,000 fans witnessing this emotional farewell.
