Vin Diesel’s Xander Cage 4: Ruby Rose Addresses Franchise’s Future With Disappointing Update

Ruby Rose gives fans a dismal update on Vin Diesel’s Xander Cage 4, leaving them wondering if the sequel will happen.

Vin Diesel as Xander Cage has always led the xXx franchise’s high-octane action and daring exploits. The 2002 picture grossed $277 million globally. After Diesel left xXx: State of the Union for Ice Cube, the franchise plummeted to $71 million.

In 2017, Diesel returned in xXx: Return of Xander Cage, which grossed $346 million. Fans were excited about xXx 4, but a franchise star gave a dismal update.

Ruby Rose Share 4 Return Update
After seven years, fans have been waiting for xXx 4 to hit the big screen. However, franchise actress Ruby Rose delivered a sad sequel update.

Rose told ScreenRant in an exclusive interview before the debut of her new film Dirty Angels that xXx 4 had no new news.

Haven’t heard anything, she said. Nothing since 1974 (laughs). Don’t know. I hope so because I want to work with that cast and team again. Incredible individuals. Vin may be doing tons more Fast and Furious 312, which was another fun mission movie. Though my only other mission film, it’s extremely different from Dirty Angels. The film Dirty Angels is more serious.”

Would Xander Cage 4 Happen?
Vin Diesel posted a photo with co-star Deepika Padukone in 2023, reflecting over their time together and hinting at a comeback to xXx 4. Post with nostalgia and hopeful caption appeared like a preview for an announcement.

No sequel news has followed, thus many feel Diesel’s statements were a personal reflection rather than an update. Diesel’s calendar is full with Fast & Furious and the Riddick franchise, so xXx is on hold for now, according to Ruby Rose.
