Paul McCartney performs “Help!” for the first time since 1965

Paul McCartney performed The Beatles classic “Help!” in full for the first time in 65 years. This happened at his show at the Santa Barbara Bowl in California, surprising the audience as the song was the opening number. During his solo career, McCartney had already played the track but not in full, just some small parts, this was the first time, since the last time the song was played was by The Beatles after that album was released.

With a capacity of only 4.500 people, the Santa Barbara Bowl is the smallest venue on McCartney’s US tour. Only an outside video is available where you can hear him playing the track, since the crowd was required to store their phones in secure pouches.
