Ozzy Osbourne Funeral Plans Revealed: Sharon Wants to Bury Him in Their Garden

Sharon Osbourne is reportedly planning a private funeral for Ozzy Osbourne. Details are emerging about her preference for an intimate ceremony rather than a large public memorial, according to MailOnline.

A family insider shared details about Ozzy’s final moments and Sharon’s funeral plans in a recent statement.

“There was no infection that we knew of. We all knew that he was going. In the end, he died peacefully at home with all the family with him,” an insider told MailOnline.

The source continued to reveal Sharon’s intentions for the funeral arrangements.

“It’s a lovely house, and Sharon wanted to bring him back from LA. I don’t know if she will feel strong enough to have a big memorial for all the people who want to say goodbye to him,” the insider said. “We think she may want to bury him privately at home, in the garden.”

The comments suggest Sharon Osbourne is leaning toward a private ceremony for close family rather than a public memorial service.

Sharon’s decision to keep the funeral arrangements private reflects the deeply personal nature of her relationship with Ozzy. Their relationship spanned more than four decades of marriage and professional partnership.

The Independent reported that Sharon and Ozzy Osbourne were married for over four decades, from their wedding in Hawaii in 1982 until Ozzy’s death in 2025. Their partnership began after Sharon started managing Ozzy’s solo career following his dismissal from Black Sabbath. They went on to have three children together.

The couple’s relationship was marked by both professional success and personal challenges throughout their decades together. Sharon played a crucial role in managing Ozzy’s career and helping him achieve solo success after leaving Black Sabbath.

Despite the enduring nature of their marriage, the couple faced significant difficulties over the years. The Independent documented that their relationship included a 1989 incident in which Ozzy, under the influence of drugs, attempted to strangle Sharon. However, the couple overcame the incident and continued their marriage until Ozzy’s passing.

The private funeral plans underscore Sharon’s desire to honor their long partnership away from public scrutiny. She is choosing instead to focus on family and close friends during this difficult time.
