Noodles Dose Not Think Offspring Will Make Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame.

Offspring guitarist Noodles doubted the band would be accepted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame on the Tuna On Toast With Stryker podcast.

“Many incredible bands have been overlooked, so being part of that club is almost more exclusive,” Noodles remarked. “Induction would be a huge honor, but I’m not holding my breath.”

Bandmate Dexter Holland agreed, citing the band’s lack of widespread awareness. “We never won major awards. Holland stated they haven’t won a Grammy or been on Rolling Stone’s cover. That may not happen for us. It would be good to be recognized.”

The band chuckled when Tuna On Toast host Ted Stryker joked that the Offspring should be honored before they went “too old.” Noodles said, “I’ll go up there with a walker. Do not care.”

Noodles discussed the band’s repeated rejection from major awards in a 2023 CleveRock.com interview. “Critics have always overlooked us. He added they’ve never been nominated for a Grammy, let alone won one. “It doesn’t bother me.”

Noodles also discussed the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame’s recent addition of hip-hop, country, and pop performers. He claimed that rock & roll should be more inclusive, citing Willie Nelson and Dolly Parton. “I think rock and roll should be inclusive,” Noodles said. Country music is commonly associated with Willie Nelson. Shouldn’t he be in Country Hall of Fame? Ignore that. He writes well and rocks his own style. Same for Dolly. People came out of the woodwork for hip-hop artists like NWA being inducted. Extremely punk and defiant. Rock & roll is about that.”

Concord Records published The Offspring’s latest album, Supercharged, on October 11. The band’s Supercharged Worldwide in ’25 world tour begins on January 19 with many Green Day gigs. The main tour begins in Brazil on March 5 and travels across Europe in September and November.
