Jon Bon Jovi will make a biopic “at some point”

Jon Bon Jovi has every intention of following the path taken by fellow New Jersey rocker Bruce Springsteen to make a biopic of his life “at some point”.

On October 24th, Springsteen: Deliver Me From Nowhere was released. The biopic followed Springsteen as he battled with fame and emotional demons to write his 1982 album, Nebraska. Jeremy Allen White played ‘The Boss’.

In light of his friend’s picture, when asked by The Sun whether he’d like to do a biopic, Bon Jovi concurred that it would happen “at some point”.

Bon Jovi already knows who he would choose to play him in the movie. He had no qualms about admitting that he’d like to cast his own son, Jake Bongiovi, to play his likeness.

However, in the interview, the ‘Livin on a Prayer’ singer somewhat equated the biopic with the end of a career, sharing, “I’m not in my final chapter yet. I’m living my next chapter.”

The vocalist confirmed he has seen the new biopic, with Springsteen by his side. He shared that the ‘Born in the USA’ singer “was sitting right here,” slapping his thigh. “I’m going, ‘This is a time machine, because I’m sitting now with you 43 years later.’”

Bon Jovi’s new release, Forever (Deluxe Edition) includes a new collaboration with Springsteen, titled, ‘Hollow Man’. Recently, Bon Jovi said of the track, “I think that Bruce just took a magnifying glass to my storytelling. It’s the same thing. It’s just better.”

Bon Jovi has newly announced a short tour of the UK and US, including nights in Madison Square Garden and Wembley. The band have not performed live for three and a half years, due to Bon Jovi’s vocal injury that resulted in surgery.

However, at a recent event celebrating the upcoming shows, Bon Jovi admitted, “I don’t think that I ever lost faith.”
