January 1 Will Be an Amazing Day for Vin Diesel Fans

Vin Diesel will always be known for Dominic “Dom” Toretto. Fans will get a great treat at the start of the year in anticipation of Fast X: Part 2.

Vin Diesel is bringing another action franchise to streaming. On January 1, Peacock will add Pitch Black, The Chronicles of Riddick, and Riddick. Another film is in production for the 2000 franchise.

Ken and Jim Wheat created the sci-fi-horror Chronicles of Riddick. It began with Pitch Black in 2000 and follows antihero Richard B. Riddick. Despite mixed reviews, the picture grossed $53.1 million worldwide on a $23 million budget. The David Twohy film has a “rotten” rating of 59% on Rotten Tomatoes from critics and 77% from audiences.

Twohy wrote and directed The Chronicles of Riddick in 2004, with Diesel reprising his role. Despite a $120 million budget, the sequel grossed only $107.2 million and received terrible reviews.

Despite the third film’s terrible reaction, Riddick followed in 2013. The film grossed $94.7 million in theaters and $26.2 million from DVD and Blu-ray sales with a $38 million budget.

In 2016, Vin Diesel and writer-director David Twohy announced a Riddick return. He hinted at Furia as the fourth installment. The movie was revealed as Riddick: Furya in February 2023 after a long screenplay process. Filming began in August 2024. Peacock lets people replay the trilogy, but the release date is unknown.

Vin Diesel is busy with Fast X: Part 2.
Vin Diesel has teased the final film in the original series, even though production hasn’t begun. The untitled Fast X: Part 2 is scheduled to open in 2026 and begin production in 2025.

Vin Diesel posted multiple driving antics for the final entry on Instagram, captioned “Life of a Torreto.” Before discussing the stunts with his team, the actor showed a Dodge Challenger SRT Demon test drive. The Fast Saga will continue with Hobbs and a female-focused Fast & Furious after the last entry.

Vin Diesel fans can watch Riddick, which doesn’t have the same action, until Fast & Furious news arrives.
