The recently reunited Oasis opted to pay tribute to the late great Ozzy Osbourne at their recent show in London. The Black Sabbath and heavy metal legend passed away on July 22 at the age of 76. Oasis honored the famed musician at their show at Wembley Stadium on Friday night.
Toward the end of their performance of “Live Forever” from their 1994 debut album Definitely Maybe, a photo of Ozzy from his younger years appeared on the large screen behind the band. Liam Gallagher took to the microphone and spoke to the crowd.
“I wanna dedicate this one next to Ozzy Osbourne, ‘Rock ‘N’ Roll Star,’” said Gallagher.
Noel and Liam Gallagher and company launched into a rendition of their hit “Rock ‘N’ Roll Star”, also from Definitely Maybe. There’s more crossover in fandom than one might think with Oasis and Black Sabbath, so there wasn’t a dry eye in the house.

Oasis’ Ozzy Osbourne Tribute Was the Highlight of the Night, but Not the Only Memorable Moment
Oasis’ Ozzy Osbourne tribute was certainly memorable. However, the rest of the show was nothing to sneeze at. The July 25 show marked the first of several that the famed Britpop band will take on at the famous Wembley Stadium during their long-awaited Live ‘25 Tour.
Plenty of fans praised Liam Galalgher’s performance, noting that his voice was just as powerful as it was during the band’s heyday in the 90s. Noel Gallagher, likewise, appeared to be surprisingly relaxed during his set. The rest of the band’s performances were amicable, too.
Quite a few celebrities were in attendance as well, Sienna Miller and Jack Draper were just a few. In total, about 90,000 people attended the enormous concert. Oasis performed 23 songs in total, many of which were deep cuts and B-sides. They didn’t skip the hits, however. “Morning Glory”, “Supersonic”, “Wonderwall”, and “Champagne Supernova” all made it to the ears of nearly 100,000 adoring fans.
It’ll be interesting to see how Oasis switches up their setlist once they arrive in North America. The band is expected to kick off the US, Mexico, and Canada leg of their reunion tour on August 24, before heading back to London on September 27.
