David Draiman, the lead vocalist of Disturbed, recently responded to Roger Waters’ criticism of Bono. He defended the U2 frontman in a statement shared on X (formerly Twitter).
The statement directly addressed Waters’ attack on Bono. Draiman defended the U2 singer’s character.
“Hey Roger Waters, Bono of U2 has more honor, integrity, and decency in his heart than you will ever have in that entire hate filled body of yours,” Draiman said.
Consequence reported that Waters sharply criticized Bono during a February 2024 interview with Al Jazeera. He called him “an enormous sh*t” and described Bono’s tribute to Israeli victims as “one of the most disgusting things I’ve ever seen in my life.” The criticism was directed at Bono’s actions during a 2023 U2 concert in Las Vegas. During the concert, he altered the lyrics of “Pride (In The Name of Love)” to reference the October 7 Hamas attack and showed clear support for Israel.
