Ace Frehley Gives Green Light to Reunion with Gene Simmons and Paul Stanley

Ace Frehley recently addressed the possibility of reuniting with his former KISS bandmates Gene Simmons and Paul Stanley. He shared his thoughts in an interview with Guitar World.

The former KISS guitarist expressed openness to the idea of working with his former bandmates again. He emphasized his willingness to keep doors open for future possibilities.

“I’m the kind of guy that never says never,” Frehley said.

The guitarist went on to clarify his current relationship with his former bandmates. He indicated there are no lingering animosities.

“I don’t hate Paul or Gene, you know? We’re rock and roll brothers, and Peter, too,” he continued. “So, anything can happen.”

This statement suggests that despite past differences, Frehley maintains a positive outlook toward potential collaboration with the KISS members.

However, Frehley’s recent actions reveal a more selective approach to reunion opportunities. Loaded Radio reported that the guitarist declined an invitation to join the 2025 KISS Kruise event. He explained that he believes the final reunion should have happened earlier and that he is cautious about joining current reunion activities without the full original lineup.

Similarly, WRAT noted that Frehley refrained from participating in the 2025 Las Vegas shows. This signals his selective approach toward reunion opportunities. This decision demonstrates his commitment to maintaining control over how and when potential collaborations might occur.

American Songwriter revealed that Frehley’s stance reflects his respect for the band’s legacy and his desire for any reunion to be meaningful rather than opportunistic. His decisions show that while he remains open to reuniting with his former bandmates, he is maintaining standards for how such collaborations should unfold.

These developments indicate that while Frehley keeps the door open for future possibilities with KISS, he is approaching potential reunions with careful consideration for timing and circumstances. This ensures any collaboration would honor the band’s storied history.
