Original Kiss drummer Peter Criss, who also sang many of the band’s famous songs, performed “Beth,” one of the group’s biggest hits, during a charity event in New York City. The performance took place on November 21 at the Cutting Room and featured Paul Shaffer and singer Catherine Russell.
The event aimed to raise money for the Music Treatment Foundation during the 2025 Underwater Sunshine Festival. Peter Criss will release a new solo record on December 19, which will feature special guests such as John 5, Billy Sheehan, and Paul Shaffer.

Peter Criss co-founded Kiss in New York City alongside Paul Stanley, Ace Frehley and Gene Simmons back in 1973 and was part of the band until 1980. He returned from 1996 to 2000 and 2002 to 2004. As a solo artist he had previously released five studio albums: “Peter Criss” (1978), “Out of Control” (1980), “Let Me Rock You” (1982), “Cat No. 1” (1994) and “One For All” (2007). Before his solo career and Kiss, he had recorded in 1970 a self-titled album with his previous band Chelsea. The oldest original member of Kiss, Peter Criss will celebrate next December 20 his 80th birthday.
