Jack Osbourne Blasts Roger Waters Over Ozzy Osbourne Comment, ‘How Pathetic You’ve Become!’

Jack Osbourne has launched a fierce attack on Pink Floyd’s Roger Waters following controversial comments about his father Ozzy Osbourne. The attack was reported on X (formerly Twitter).

Waters made disparaging remarks about the Black Sabbath frontman during an interview with The Independent. This sparked the heated exchange.

“Hey Roger Waters, f*ck you,” Jack Osbourne said. “How pathetic and out of touch you’ve become. The only way you seem to get attention these days is by vomiting out bullshit in the press.”

Jack continued his scathing response with a personal revelation about his father’s opinion of the Pink Floyd bassist.

“My father always thought you were a cunt — thanks for proving him right,” he added.

Waters made several dismissive statements about the heavy metal legend during his interview. These comments became the source of the controversy.

“Ozzy Osbourne, who just died, bless him in his whatever that state that he was in his whole life,” Waters stated. “We’ll never know. Although he was all over the TV for hundreds of years with his idiocy and nonsense. The music, I have no idea. I couldn’t give a f*ck. I don’t care about Black Sabbath, I never did. I have no interest in biting the heads of chickens or whatever they do. I couldn’t care less, you know.”

This latest outburst adds to Waters’ growing reputation for controversial statements targeting fellow musicians and public figures.

Waters’ dismissive comments about Ozzy’s infamous stage antics revealed his apparent confusion about the heavy metal legend’s most notorious moment. When informed that Ozzy bit the head off a bat, not a chicken, Waters was reportedly even more revolted. He asked “Oh my God, that’s even worse, isn’t it? I don’t know, is it worse to bite the head off a bat or a chicken?” Ultimate Classic Rock reported.

The Pink Floyd bassist has established a pattern of targeting other artists for various reasons. He often frames himself as a moral authority in rock music. Noise11 noted that Waters has previously criticized Nick Cave, Thom Yorke, Elton John, and Steven Tyler. He often mixes political disagreements with personal attacks on their artistic merit.

The timing of Waters’ comments has particularly angered fans and fellow musicians. His remarks came just weeks after Ozzy Osbourne’s passing. This was a period when the music world was mourning and celebrating the heavy metal icon’s decades-long legacy and influence on rock music.

Waters’ controversial statements reflect his long-standing tendency to court attention through provocative interviews and public feuds. His willingness to disparage fellow artists, particularly during sensitive times, has increasingly isolated him from much of the music community. Many see this as attention-seeking behavior rather than legitimate artistic discourse, drawing widespread criticism.
