The Oasis reunion tour is in full swing. On the opening night in Cardiff, Noel Gallagher debuted the P-90-loaded Gibson Les Paul, and now, Noel is set to release an extremely limited run of the guitar.
The limited run will see only 25 units available via the Gibson Garage in London, which is described as a “truly unique, never-before-seen guitar release” that was curated by both Gibson and Noel.
The arrival of the Custom Noel Gallagher Les Paul Standard confirms that the instrument has an Ebony finish that the Murphy Lab has lightly aged at the Gibson Custom Shop. It also includes aged nickel Gibson Custom P-90 pickups, Grover tuners, and a SlimTaper neck profile.
If this isn’t enough, each of the 25 guitars will be hand-signed by Noel. In terms of protection, it will come with a Gibson Custom hardshell case with bespoke interior and a handmade leather strap by Bear Straps.
Noel has put extra effort into the limited edition release. According to Gibson, “accompanying each Gibson Custom Noel Gallagher Les Paul Standard is a unique lyric sheet, hand-written by Noel Gallagher, presented in an exclusive presentation.” The booklet comes with a certificate of authenticity.
The lucky buyers won’t be able to choose which lyric sheet they receive. Gibson explains, “Each guitar and lyric sheet has been paired at random, and no two guitars have the same song, making each package truly unique.”
Only one guitar is allowed per customer. Those who cannot make it to the capital on August 21st might be reassured by Gibson’s added comment that phone lines will open at 11am, though the store opens at 9am.
Gallagher’s account on X also described the instrument as “the most talked-about guitar of the summer”.
Elsewhere on the reunion tour, today Oasis released a live recording of the 2002 tune ‘Little By Little’ from their fourth night at Wembley Stadium.
