Following the recent announcement regarding the new dates for the Rough and Rowdy Ways tour, Bob Dylan was in the recording studio this week.
On August 5th and 6th, the pioneering American musician visited White Lake Studios in Colonie, New York, along with his band members, signalling a return to a recording environment for potential new projects. However, the press release issued by White Lake did not confirm these speculations.
It read: “Legendary music icon Bob Dylan, along with members of his band, spent two days this week at White Lake Studios in Colonie, New York. The studio team had been preparing for the visit in advance and diligently to ensure discretion and privacy throughout the sessions.”
Warding off any inquiries about any new material that the Nobel Prize-winning songwriter might be working on, the studio added: “Details of Dylan’s two-day visit were not publicly disclosed.”
White Lake Studios CEO David Bourgeois said, “We want every artist and guest to feel relaxed and at home. We’ve had the privilege of working with many remarkable talents over the years, but this visit was truly special. I’m incredibly proud of our team.”
This studio visit comes ahead of Dylan’s decision to extend the Rough and Rowdy Ways tour, following the performances in North America during March and April of this year.
The tour’s next leg is set to kick off at Brighton this November, with the musician scheduled to perform across UK and Ireland.
