Leonardo DiCaprio nearly died to save his dogs during filming Don’t Look Up.
Leonardo DiCaprio dove plunged into a frigid lake to save his two unruly rescue Huskies in a wild BTS story. They weren’t just any dogs for DiCaprio. Director Adam McKay and costar Jonah Hill called them tornadoes.
So wild, Hill would text DiCaprio images of their set furniture damage. But things became worse when one of the Huskies fell into the ice lake. DiCaprio acted immediately. Then I went in. I didn’t comprehend frozen lake activities, he admitted. Leo, freezing his butt off, saves the day like any dog dad.
The kicker: after DiCaprio pulled one dog out of the freezing water, the other leaped in. Jennifer Lawrence observed the turmoil and laughed at it. Finally, DiCaprio, the dogs, and some surprise licking were in the water. A wild set moment.
Not simply another Don’t Look Up outtake. DiCaprio, Jennifer Lawrence, Meryl Streep, and Jonah Hill starred in the satirical thriller about a comet approaching for Earth.
Truthfully, the frozen Lakesaga is more unforgettable than any trophy. Imagine being the actor who froze for his dogs. Leonardo is intense, dedicated, and ready for anything.
Besides his dog-saving heroics, Don’t Look Up had more amusing moments. DiCaprio, the perfectionist, rewrote one scene 15 times (why not?), and Lawrence got high to portray a high character. Crazy, right?
DiCaprio has gone above and beyond for roles before. From surviving a bear attack in The Revenant to becoming a dog dad in Don’t Look Up, Leo never gives up.
