Ozzy Was Secretly Working on New Projects Before His Passing, Insider Reveals

New details have emerged about Ozzy Osbourne’s plans following his farewell concert. Sources close to the Osbourne family revealed the rock legend was actively working on multiple projects before his passing, as reported by Daily Mail.

The revelations shed light on Osbourne’s mindset after his “Back to the Beginning” farewell show at Villa Park. They suggest his retirement from live performances did not signal the end of his creative endeavors.

“Ozzy saw Villa Park as the farewell on his live shows, not his career,” an insider exclusively told Daily Mail.

The source provided additional insight into the musician’s ambitious plans for the future before his passing.

“With the memoir, album, and TV shows, there was a lot more for him to focus on this year alone,” the source continued. “Ozzy was always like, ‘This is not the f***ing end…I have got stuff to do.’”

The projects reportedly included a new album, book publication, and television programming. This indicates Osbourne remained creatively active despite stepping back from touring.

Ultimate Classic Rock reported that Ozzy performed his final live show with Black Sabbath on July 5, 2025, at Villa Park in Birmingham, the band’s hometown. The daylong “Back to the Beginning” concert featured sets by Guns N’ Roses, Metallica, and others. It culminated with Ozzy singing “Paranoid,” the last song he ever performed onstage.

The farewell performance held special significance as it reunited Black Sabbath’s original lineup for the first time in 20 years. This marked a historic moment in the band’s career. TMZ noted that despite battling Parkinsonism, a rare genetic condition similar to Parkinson’s disease, Ozzy expressed deep emotions during the final concert and thanked his wife, Sharon, and fans for their support over the years.

The rock legend’s battle with Parkinsonism had been well-documented. However, it clearly did not dampen his creative spirit or his desire to pursue new ventures beyond live performance.

Unfortunately, the Osbourne family announced that the metal icon Ozzy Osbourne passed away at the age of 76.
