24-Year-Old Country Singer Suddenly Killed in Tragic Pickup Truck Accident

Tragedy recently struck the country music world this week. Brazilian country singer Felipe Silva was recently involved in a pickup truck accident. According to reports, last Saturday, Silva was standing in the back of the pickup truck in question when the vehicle suddenly started, knocking him off the vehicle and causing a head injury. Silva was rushed to the hospital immediately after the accident.

According to Silva’s manager, the young singer was treated for brain swelling at a local hospital in the Brazilian city of Araguaína. Two days later, on Monday, July 14, Silva passed away as a result of his injuries. He was only 24 years old.

Felipe Silva’s Short but Impactful Career in Country Music and Brazil Will Never Be Forgotten

Felipe Silva was part of a country music duo with Raphael Sousa, aptly called Felipe & Raphael. The official Instagram account for the music duo posted several tributes to Silva in the hours since his devastating passing.

“Today, with broken hearts, we share that our beloved Felipe is no longer with us,” the post reads, translated into English from Portuguese. “He’s gone… gone too soon…Now he’s with the Creator, in the heaven he so often looked to with hope, with his light soul and his voice eternally alive. […] His dream was always to sing for the world… And now he will be singing in heaven with the angels.”

Silva and Sousa were childhood friends who started producing music together under the moniker Felipe & Raphael in 2024. The two young artists were expecting to drop their first recording project, an extended play, later in 2025.

“Today didn’t dawn as we expected,” the Instagram post continues. “It was to be another chapter of a beautiful project, full of dreams, courage and music. A project of the duo Felipe & Raphael, that was born from the heart and true friendship, watered with talent, faith and a lot of will to win.”

We wish Silva’s family and loved ones, as well as his fans, nothing but the best during this difficult time.
